Former Cirque du Soleil principal clown and Best Male Performer award winner at last year’s Fringe returns with a tragicomic story of separated lovers. Across the Road, is a riveting solo performance of two characters using mime, dance, character and clown, the lovers’ anxieties are projected against stunning landscapes from the original film through a series of veils. An ancient wall of photos, a grand hotel and the lush lands surrounding a rural B&B each create a haunting world of dreamlike sensitivity and spectacle, where the line between shared fear and projected expectation vanishes.
